How to Put On Athena Women’s Tall Boots
Although the tall design has no zipper, the boots are easier to put on than you might think. The key is to use the practical pull tab at the back and follow the steps below.
Recommended way to put them on
- Hold the boot with both hands.
- Slide your foot into the boot – your heel will stop just above the pull tab.
- Hold the pull tab with one hand and gently pull it up over your heel.
- Your foot and heel will then slide comfortably into the boot.
- Finally, pull the shaft up to its full height.
Avoid
- pulling too hard on the pull tab
- using the pull tab as a handle
Recommended way to take them off
- Hold the boot at the sides with both hands.
- Slowly roll the shaft down to loosen it around your calf. There is no need to worry – the material is sufficiently elastic.
- Hold the boot by the heel with one hand and slide your foot out.
Avoid
- pulling the boot by the pull tab
- pulling your foot out before the shaft has been rolled down
- stepping on the heel of the boot with your other foot
FAQ
Why do the boots feel snug? Are they suitable for women with wider calves?
Athena has a tall, close-fitting design with an elastic shaft that adapts to the shape of the leg. The boots may therefore feel snugger than looser winter boots or ankle styles. If you have wider calves, we recommend checking the measurements for your chosen size and keeping in mind that this is a fitted style.
How long does it take for the boots to break in?
Thanks to the flexible synthetic shaft, the boots adapt to the leg relatively quickly. The lower part follows barefoot principles, with a wide toe box, zero drop and a flexible sole, helping your feet stay comfortable even during longer wear.
Are the boots suitable for women with a high instep?
Athena features an elastic shaft with a side cut-out that extends down towards the foot. This allows the flexible material to adapt around the instep as well. The practical pull tab at the back also makes the boots easier to put on.
Is the pull tab durable enough for repeated use?
Yes. The pull tab is designed to work together with the elastic shaft as a practical aid when putting the boots on. We recommend using it only for this purpose and rolling the shaft down when taking the boots off. The pull tab is not intended to be used as a handle or for pulling forcefully on the entire boot – it simply helps guide the heel into place.
